Prayer of the Faithful, OT 23, September 5, 2010

For the Church and its leaders, called to take up the cross, and follow Christ in faithful discipleship. We pray to the Lord. 

For world leaders, called to stewardship of the earth’s resources for the sake of all humanity. We pray to the Lord.

For peace in the Middle East, and for a successful conclusion to the peace talks in which the leaders of Israel and Palestine are currently engaged. We pray to the Lord.

For the members of the Canadian Forces, RCMP and NGOs deployed to Afghanistan, and for their families in a time of separation and worry. We pray to the Lord.

For communities on the East Coast of Canada and the United States that are threatened by hurricanes. We pray to the Lord.

 [For couples married in the Lord this weekend: N&N]. We pray to the Lord.

For university, college, high school, and elementary students who are returning to classes this week. We pray to the Lord.

For the safety of all who are travelling this holiday weekend. We pray to the Lord.

For those among us who are sick:
